About DP Print

DP Print is owned and operated by Brian du Plessis Snr and Brian du Plessis Jnr with the assistance of Brian Snr’s wife Petro in Finance his niece Sarah in admin, and brother Kevin in estimation. We are a medium sized operation based in Florida, Johannesburg, South-Africa but we service the whole of Africa.

DP Print is a family-owned business which include all staff members as family and prides itself in upmarket supply of print materials for the digital/commercial and packaging industry.

DP Print started operating in August 2007. Prior to that Brian Snr and Jnr was allied to a major print business which closed its doors at the end of July 2007. This inspired us to start our own company from the premises we bought in Florida. We started with a Heidelberg MO 4 colour printing press and Heidelberg KORD 64 single colour press. Our impressive quality and service ensured our growth. And in 2008 we purchased a new screen platerite 4300 computer to plate system. We continued our growth and one year later we upgraded our MO Printing press to a Heidelberg SM74 5 colour press.

Only two years later in 2011 we bought the property next door and then doubled our output by installing a Heidelberg SM102 5 colour press with a coater. In the same year we moved into the digital market with the purchase of a Bizhub C8000 press. In May 2013 we upgraded and installed a new Screen Platerite 8600 Computer to plate system which enabled us to supply of all plates for our presses inhouse.

In April 2016 we bought a finishing business. This included a die cutting machine, carton gluer and board mounting machine. With the new inhouse capacity this resulted in outsourcing less of our work and packaging became a start to finish inhouse process. We also added a A1 laminating machine in the same year.

March 2021 saw the installation of an A1 automatic die cutting press and in May 2022 we acquired a six colour plus coater Heidelberg Speedmaster press.

Long standing relationships with our clients proves our consistent supply of quality, market leading turnaround times and competitive pricing. This has enabled us to continue our growth and keep up with the everchanging times upgrading most of our equipment.

To further deliver on our promises and with an extremely unstable power grid, we have installed generators and solar power to be 100% operational in times of power outages.
